1. Context and Objectives of the Engagement
Client in Luxembourg is currently undertaking a major transformation program aimed at replacing its Core Banking System and modernizing its payment processing capabilities.
As part of this program, the FTB/PAY team is responsible for the development, maintenance, and Level 3 production support of applications managing the end-to-end lifecycle of customer cash transfer orders. This includes payment initiation, validation workflows, AML controls, processing, exception handling, and integration with internal and external payment infrastructures.
The beneficiary wishes to improve the quality of its IT systems management. To this end, the beneficiary seeks to benefit from the service provider’s expertise in Information Systems Project Support / IT Business Analysis (Assistance à Maîtrise d’Ouvrage SI).
In this context, the service consists of contributing to:
• the delivery of strategic initiatives related to payments and cash management.
• serving as the interface between business stakeholders, operations teams, architects, developers, testers, and production support teams.
Expertise Required:
• International payment ecosystems
• Instant Payments
• SEPA Credit Transfers
• TARGET Services (T2)
• Cash transfer and payment processing systems
• ISO 20022 payment messaging standards
• SWIFT and European payment schemes
• Analysis of complex functional requirements and system integrations
• AML-related controls within payment processes
• Strong SQL querying skills for data analysis and investigation
2. Expected Deliverables
• Elicit, analyze, challenge, and document business requirements
• Produce high-quality Functional Specifications and Business Requirements Documents
• Define functional processes, business rules, workflows, and data mappings
• Ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
• Define testing strategies, test plans, and test scenarios
• Perform functional testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Monitor testing campaigns, track defects, and ensure their resolution with stakeholders
• Support change requests and assess the business impact of proposed changes
• Contribute to change management and release management activities
• Participate in production deployments and post-release validations
• Provide production incident support, including root cause analysis and coordination with technical teams
• Perform data investigations and reconciliations using SQL queries
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, payment standards, and internal governance requirements
• Produce clear and comprehensive functional documentation
• Deliver successful testing campaigns with appropriate traceability
• Ensure controlled and efficient releases
• Ensure timely resolution of production incidents
• Deliver high-quality outcomes in support of Client's Luxembourg Core Banking Transformation objectives.
