System Architect

UAS Systems Architect — confidential UAV programme

They're building aerial systems that think onboard, not in the cloud. Senior IC role, full technical ownership: architecture, specs, design reviews, then out to the flight line to watch it work.

You'll own:

• Onboard compute selection under tactical SWaP constraints (thermal, power, memory)
• The sensor-fusion and inference stack (EO/IR, thermal, RF) plus the model lifecycle
• GNSS-denied navigation that holds up under EW-contested conditions
• Swarm architecture: task allocation, formation management, autonomous re-planning
• Fail-safe logic, HITL/HOTL gates, and the security architecture behind them
• Alignment across firmware, ML, flight controls, RF and test, mostly without formal authority over any of them

What you'll bring:

• Master's in EE, CS, Aerospace, Robotics or similar (strong Bachelor's considered)
• 5+ years in systems architecture or autonomy engineering in aerospace, defence, or robotics
• 2+ years specifically on UAS or comparable real-time robotic platforms
• Real embedded AI/ML deployment under SWaP limits, not a lab demo
• Hands-on GNSS-denied nav (VIO, SLAM, inertial fusion) and safety-critical design experience
• C/C++/Python across firmware to application layer, plus ROS 2, PX4/ArduPilot, MAVLink or UAVCAN
• Advanced English, and writing sharp enough that people act on it

Bonus: TensorRT/ONNX/OpenVINO/Hailo, DO-178C/MIL-STD-882E/STANAG 4586/MISRA C, ISR/SIGINT/EW background.
