Fore Group is looking for a Junior Business Analyst to support a Product Management and engineering team by helping create, maintain, and refine detailed user stories for software delivery.
You will work closely with a Senior Business Analyst and Product Manager. They will help turn defined product functionality into clear, organized, and easy-to-understand stories that developers can estimate and implement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, curious, and excited to learn how software products are designed and delivered.
This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys understanding how an application works, documenting requirements clearly, asking thoughtful questions, and ensuring no important detail gets missed before work reaches the development team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior BA and Product Manager in documenting detailed requirements for assigned product features and workflows.
- Draft user stories, acceptance criteria, supporting notes, and other backlog documentation using the team’s established standards and templates.
- Help break down larger requirements into smaller, clearly scoped story components.
- Gather and organize information about existing application functionality, workflows, business rules, edge cases, and dependencies.
- Track open questions, assumptions, decisions, and follow-up items during story refinement.
- Participate in backlog grooming, estimation, sprint planning, and other delivery meetings.
- Help answer developer questions by researching existing requirements, confirming details with the Senior BA or Product Manager, and documenting decisions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Learn the team’s product domain, application workflows, and user-story-writing methodology over time.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a Business Analyst, Product Operations, Project Coordination, QA, Product Support, or software delivery-related role.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to organize information clearly.
- High attention to detail and comfort managing multiple requirements, questions, and follow-up items at once.
- Interest in Agile software development and how product requirements move from idea to delivery.
- Ability to ask thoughtful questions when requirements are incomplete or unclear.
- Comfortable collaborating with Product Managers, Senior BAs, developers, QA professionals, and other delivery stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with user stories, acceptance criteria, Agile ceremonies, or backlog management.
- Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Notion, Miro, Figma, or similar tools.
- Exposure to QA, software testing, UX/UI, customer support, or technical documentation.
- Experience working with structured templates, process documentation, or workflow mapping.
