Role Description

Designing and developing software components as part of a larger, multi-partner European research initiative, while contributing across the full software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with international partners and contribute to shared technical deliverables, ensuring alignment with project goals and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Assist in frontend development using Flutter or similar frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Work with data modeling and querying using SQL Server and/or Graph Databases.
• Participate in containerized development using Docker.
• Use GitHub for version control, code collaboration, and code reviews.
• Help develop and integrate APIs to enable communication between services.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java and hands-on experience with the Spring Boot framework.
• Familiarity with designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of working with frontend frameworks (Flutter, React, or Angular).
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulations (e.g., GDPR).
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in a team environment.
• Understanding containerization principles and experience with Docker.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.
• Experience with Graph Databases (e.g., GraphDB) and/or SQL Server for data management and querying.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge on OpenID Connect (OIDC)/SAML/AUTH.
• Knowledge of ontology modeling or semantic web technologies.

Knowledge on PEP/PDP components for policy-based authorization.
