4-Month Daily Rate Contract | Strong Potential for Extension/Permanent Conversion

The Opportunity

Our client, a global technology organisation, is investing heavily in design excellence and expanding a newly established team focused on delivering exceptional digital product experiences across a broad and complex product portfolio.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer to join on an initial 6-month contract with a strong possibility of extension or permanent conversion. This role will suit a designer who can combine strategic thinking, UX expertise, and polished UI design while influencing teams and driving meaningful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll work across multiple product initiatives, helping teams tackle complex problems and deliver high-quality user experiences from concept through to implementation.

You'll partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders, quickly building credibility through the quality of your thinking, design craft, and collaborative approach. This is a hands-on role where you'll have the opportunity to influence product direction, shape user experiences, and help establish best practices across the design function.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable identifying strategic opportunities, conducting discovery activities, creating intuitive user experiences, and delivering polished interfaces that balance customer needs with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product design across multiple concurrent projects and initiatives
• Partner with stakeholders to define problems, shape product direction, and identify opportunities for improvement
• Conduct user research, discovery activities, and experience mapping to inform design decisions
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Drive user-centred design practices and advocate for customer needs across the organisation
• Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate research, ideation, prototyping, and design workflows
• Ensure all designs meet accessibility, usability, and design system standards
• Participate in design critiques, workshops, and collaborative problem-solving sessions
• Contribute to the growth of the wider design team through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback
• Help document outcomes, learnings, and success stories that demonstrate the impact of design-led thinking
  
  

Required Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, UX/UI Design, or a related discipline
• Strong portfolio demonstrating both strategic problem solving and high-quality visual design execution
• Experience designing complex digital products, platforms, or enterprise software solutions
• Proven ability to influence product direction and work effectively within cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and design thinking methodologies
• Experience operating in fast-moving environments where ambiguity and complexity are common
• Confidence using AI tools to enhance design workflows and productivity
• Advanced proficiency in Figma
• Strong understanding of design systems, component libraries, and scalable UX patterns
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
