We are looking for a Senior Network & Security Engineer to design, implement, secure, and maintain enterprise network, Wi-Fi, security, and telephony infrastructures. You will collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver scalable and secure networking solutions, support infrastructure projects, and optimize operations through automation and standardization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain network, Wi-Fi, security, and telephony infrastructures.
  • Deploy and support network security solutions, including firewalls, NAC, and load balancers.
  • Produce technical documentation, including High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), and operational documentation.
  • Perform network audits, infrastructure upgrades, and security improvements.
  • Develop and automate operational processes using scripting and Ansible.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance and availability.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, production deployments, and on-call support.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend infrastructure improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience with Cisco networking (Catalyst, Nexus, WLC, Cisco DNA Center).
  • Strong knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, MPLS, VPN/IPsec, SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, F5 LTM/APM, NAC (IEEE 802.1X), and network security.
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, IPAM/DDI, Wireshark, and PRTG.
  • Knowledge of Ansible, scripting, and automation.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Visio, and VMware vSphere.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to travel within the Brussels region and participate in on-call rotations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid CCNA certification.
  • F5 Load Balancer certification.
  • Wireshark certification.
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification.
  • VMware vSphere certification.
  • Experience working in the public sector.

Languages

  • Native or bilingual French.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
  • Basic knowledge of Dutch.

  • Location: Brussels, Belgium
  • Work Model: Hybrid
