We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our Information Security team in Kochi. This role will be responsible for protecting the organization's infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, and sensitive healthcare data from cyber threats while ensuring compliance with healthcare industry security standards and regulations.

Position Summary

The Cyber Security Specialist will play a critical role in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks across the organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, cloud security, endpoint protection, and regulatory compliance. This individual will work closely with IT, Engineering, DevOps, and Compliance teams to strengthen PracticeSuite's overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts, logs, and events using SIEM and security monitoring tools.
  • Investigate suspicious activities and potential security incidents.
  • Conduct threat detection, threat hunting, and security event analysis.
  • Develop and maintain security monitoring dashboards and reporting.
  • Lead and participate in cybersecurity incident investigations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend remediation actions.
  • Coordinate incident containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
  • Maintain incident response playbooks and documentation.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and security scans.
  • Prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and business impact.
  • Coordinate remediation efforts with infrastructure and development teams.
  • Validate remediation activities through re-testing.
  • Implement and maintain security controls within cloud environments.
  • Monitor cloud security posture and identify misconfigurations.
  • Assist in securing cloud-hosted applications, databases, and services.
  • Support cloud security compliance initiatives.
  • Manage endpoint security solutions including EDR/XDR platforms.
  • Review firewall configurations and network security controls.
  • Monitor network traffic for indicators of compromise.
  • Support secure network architecture initiatives.
  • Conduct cybersecurity awareness training for employees.
  • Promote security best practices across the organization.
  • Assist in phishing simulations and security education programs.
  • Partner with Software Engineering and DevOps teams to integrate security into the SDLC.
  • Participate in security reviews for new systems and applications.
  • Support third-party vendor security assessments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or security operations.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment and remediation.
  • Knowledge of network security concepts, protocols, and architectures.
  • Experience with endpoint protection, EDR/XDR solutions, and threat detection.
  • Understanding of cloud security principles and technologies.
  • Familiarity with incident response methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Shift: Night Shift (US Business Hours: 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM )
