Middle/Senior Java Software Engineer

About The Role

In this role, you will contribute to building a secure healthcare communication platform used by millions of users worldwide. You will design and evolve backend services for Messenger, a core product enabling seamless collaboration between healthcare professionals, while working in a cross-functional Agile team focused on security, scalability, and interoperability.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and TypeScript, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability
Own backend solutions end-to-end, improving system quality, security, and delivery speed while supporting critical healthcare workflows
Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineers to define system design and deliver high-impact features
Build and maintain RESTful services, ensuring clear documentation with OpenAPI and alignment with integration standards
Participate in all SDLC phases, including requirement analysis, estimation, development, testing, deployment, and production support
Identify technical risks, dependencies, and propose mitigation strategies for stable and secure delivery
Develop secure solutions with strong authentication, authorization, and data protection practices tailored to healthcare requirements
Work with Docker-based environments and contribute to integration with healthcare standards such as FHIR

Requirements

Strong experience with Java and Spring Framework or Spring Boot, plus hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript
Proven track record of building and integrating RESTful APIs and documenting them using OpenAPI or Swagger
Solid understanding of backend architecture, design patterns, and secure application development practices
Experience with JWT authentication, secure token handling, certificate management, and data protection principles
Knowledge of PostgreSQL, JPA, Hibernate, and database migration tools such as Liquibase
Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments, with Kubernetes as a plus
Familiarity with SDLC processes, Git, Jira, and Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and in distributed teams
An intermediate or higher English level for effective communication
