Our mission-driven client, a Fortune 500 insurance partner is seeking a Scrum Master to join a team responsible for the platforms and tools that power customer growth and retention through the agent experience. This role will support the delivery teams building and enhancing the technology that agents rely on to acquire, service, and retain policyholders. The ideal candidate combines strong Agile facilitation skills with a technical analyst mindset, and is comfortable leading discussions across product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospective.
- Lead and coordinate meetings with cross-functional stakeholders, including product owners, engineering leads, and business partners, to align on priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Partner closely with Product Owners to maintain a healthy, well-groomed backlog and ensure user stories are clearly defined and ready for development.
- Identify, track, and remove impediments blocking team progress; escalate risks and issues as needed.
- Drive cross-team collaboration with adjacent Scrum teams working on related platforms to manage dependencies and shared deliverables.
- Apply technical analyst skills to help translate business requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Track and report sprint metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) and communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders.
- Champion Agile best practices and drive continuous improvement across the team's processes and delivery cadence.
- Foster a collaborative, transparent, and accountable team culture.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in an Agile delivery role, ideally within financial services or insurance.
- Background as a technical/business analyst, or hybrid Scrum Master–Analyst experience, strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting platforms or tools related to customer growth, retention, or the agent/advisor experience is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to lead meetings and drive alignment with senior stakeholders across cross-functional teams.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification preferred.
- Familiarity with scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS) is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
