Job Purpose: The Communications Project Manager fulfils a dual role, being responsible for both developing and maintaining effective and profitable client relationships as well as planning, managing and executing communication strategies and activities across the entire project cycle.
He/she should have an eye for detail and be strategically minded, understanding client objectives to build the right strategies and communications materials either individually or with the agency team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the project lead and point of contact for one or more clients, ensuring agreements and scope are managed as per client and agency requirements
- Build trusted and long-standing relationships with clients based on trust, while keeping agency interests in mind and acting in a communications advisory role to the client
- Understand client’s business and requirements, translating them into clear and detailed briefs and feedback for the integrated agency team and/or external vendors
- Management of the full communication cycle from client brief to implementation along with the day to day request from the client
- Oversee client communication channels, including social media accounts, always searching for ways to improve performance and engagement
- Ideate, set up and manage social media accounts and communication campaigns, as and when required
- Develop, write and present engaging, creative and innovate communication, including social media content calendars, campaigns/ads and strategies
- Liaise with other agency divisions to ensure proper and consistent messaging and efforts across other marketing or communication channels or activities for clients
- Schedule or post approved content across all associated social media channels using agency or channel tools, as applicable
- Monitor and analyze client’s communication and social media channels, engaging with followers and fans in a timely manner by responding to comments, interactions and inquiries when needed
- Create and present, with or without the help of colleagues, reports, ideas, pitches and other pro-active measures to clients
- Be the guardian of agency output to clients, establishing compliance with agency and client quality standards and process
Key Requirements:
- At least 5 year’s experience as project manager in communications or similar
- Minimum BA/BS in communication, marketing, business administration, or relevant field
- Solid experience with MS Office
- Proven experience with social media and analytical tools, e.g. Sprinklr, Emplifi, Hootsuite or similar
- Good understanding of other marketing channels, especially digital advertising and PR
- Demonstrated ability to present to and influence key stakeholders internally and externally, able to produce professional presentations and documents
- Meticulous project management skills, dealing with multiple work streams simultaneously
- Knows the market and the kind of trends that apply to communications at large
- Willingness to be committed to the job, even if that means working in evenings or on weekends
- Calm under pressure and supportive of colleagues at all times
