Senior Software Engineer (PHP/LAMP/SQL)

We are looking for a full-time, remote Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of development experience to join our U.S. client. This role is focused on maintaining, troubleshooting, optimizing, and enhancing existing reporting systems built with PHP and SQL. The ideal candidate is a senior full stack developer with strong PHP experience, advanced SQL skills, and hands-on experience working within a LAMP environment, preferably with Laminas/Zend and Angular.

The primary application stack is LAMP, including PHP, MySQL, and Linux, with Laminas/Zend on the back-end and Angular for front-end components. This person will work closely with the team to fix existing reports, investigate data and performance issues, improve SQL queries, and support reporting functionality within an enterprise-class Property Management System.

Our client provides integrated software and marketing solutions for the hospitality industry, specializing in short-term rental management. Their platform provides vacation rental companies with an enterprise-class Property Management System integrating booking, guest communications, and financial reporting systems - all built with partner organization integrations in mind.

Responsibilitie

• sMaintain, troubleshoot, and fix existing reporting systems built with PHP and SQ
• LWrite, review, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries used for reporting and data retrieva
• lInvestigate report discrepancies, data issues, and performance bottlenecks across PHP, SQL, and database layer
• sBuild efficient, testable, and reusable PHP or JavaScript modules to support reporting functionalit
• yWork within a LAMP environment, including PHP, MySQL, Linux, and related web application infrastructur
• eSupport and enhance applications built with PHP frameworks and libraries such as Laminas/Zen
• dIntegrate and maintain Angular components within the existing application when neede
• dCollaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical fixes or enhancement
• sSolve performance issues and architectural challenges related to reporting, database access, and application responsivenes
