Job Description:

1. SAFe Delivery & Product Ownership — Own end-to-end delivery as Product Owner within a SAFe Agile environment, driving PI Planning, sprint execution, and release governance across Agile Release Trains. Partner with the RTE, Scrum Masters, and System Architects to ensure team-level commitments align with program increment objectives and airline business priorities (e.g., loyalty, reservations, operations, or revenue management platforms).
2. Backlog Management & Prioritization — Maintain a healthy, well-refined product backlog with clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria. Prioritize features using value-based frameworks such as WSJF (Weighted Shortest Job First), balancing business value, time criticality, and risk reduction, while ensuring backlog readiness 2–3 sprints ahead to protect team flow and predictability.
3. Stakeholder Management & Delivery Metrics — Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, vendors, and engineering teams, managing expectations and communicating progress through data-driven delivery metrics. Track and report on velocity, predictability (committed vs. delivered), cycle time, sprint burndown, defect leakage, and PI objective achievement to drive transparency and continuous improvement at both team and program levels.
4. Data Engineering Acumen — Bring hands-on understanding of modern data platforms and pipelines (e.g., medallion/lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT, Databricks, cloud data warehousing) to credibly own data-centric backlogs. Translate complex data engineering requirements — ingestion, transformation, BI/reporting, and data quality — into prioritized, deliverable work, and engage technically with engineers to remove blockers and validate solution feasibility.
