What does it take to guide innovation initiatives from idea to scalable business solution while balancing business value, technology, and future growth?

As Business Architect – Wholesale & Rural Subsidiaries & Innovation, you know the secrets of connecting innovation, business strategy, and architecture into practical solutions that create impact. You work closely with business and technology stakeholders to shape future-proof architectures for innovation initiatives and subsidiaries. Together with enthusiastic teams, you guide discovery, market fit, solution fit, and scale-up phases while ensuring smooth collaboration across Rabobank.

Examples from practice

• Writing target architecture for GenAI-based use cases, such as providing summarization for Credit Memos or enabling interactive research tools that support better conversations between bankers and our clients
• Guiding and supporting spin-outs being carved out of the existing Rabobank landscape, providing the required direction for a successful independent IT landscape
• Creating the target architecture for the Rabo Research landscape, aligning with enterprise standards while keeping the needs of the business in mind

Top Responsibilities

What challenges will you solve when innovation, business goals, and technology landscapes come together in one role?

• Lead and steer the innovation processes and experiments and contribute broad IT and business knowledge
• Deliver Target Architectures, Project Start Architectures (PSA), and Architecture Decision Records (ADR) to guide the innovation process
• Bridge the gaps between business and IT and between the Tribes and Innovation and/or subsidiaries
• Deliver and maintain the architecture for foundations and W&R subsidiaries
• Play an active role in the W&R Architecture team, collaborating and contributing to the architecture responsibilities of the W&R domain and the Rabobank-wide architecture
  
  

You will also contribute actively to the wider architecture community within Wholesale & Rural and Rabobank-wide architecture initiatives, helping shape long-term technology direction and innovation standards.

You & your talent

What knowledge and mindset help you succeed in an environment where innovation and architecture continuously evolve?

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in enterprise architecture or business architecture.
• Hands-on experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Archimate.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Current knowledge of cloud computing, Generative Artificial Intelligence, blockchain, and cybersecurity.
• Experience with innovation frameworks such as business model canvas and design thinking.
