DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with Research & Development, Testing, Quality Assurance and Production teams, providing support for development and deployment tools, virtual environments, system setup, configuration, monitoring and automation activities. You will contribute to improving the efficiency and quality of CI/CD processes while supporting infrastructure reliability and performance.

A typical day might include the following:

• Setting up and administering server environments;
• Setting up and administering network equipment;
• Setting up and administering virtual machines;
• Monitoring systems and identifying patterns that affect the performance, reliability, or availability of products and services, while driving continuous improvements through automation and technical solutions;
• Implementing automation for repetitive tasks through scripting;
• Maintaining technical documentation related to configurations, operations and troubleshooting procedures;
• Supporting CI/CD processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

To ensure success in this role, you need the following experience and skills:

• University degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a related field;
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience;
• Very good knowledge of Linux OS administration;
• Very good understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts;
• Experience with virtualization technologies, including virtual machines and containers;
• Knowledge of SQL and/or PostgreSQL databases;
• Experience with version control tools such as Git or SVN;
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and methodologies;
• Experience with Kubernetes;
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts, Ansible, YAML and orchestration tools;
• Good knowledge of monitoring tools and technologies (Zabbix, Grafana, etc.);
• Scripting experience using Python, Bash or similar languages;
• Attention to detail and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies;
• Understanding of product lifecycle and software release processes;
• Good English communication skills;
• Team-oriented mindset.

Nice to have:

• Documentation and technical writing skills;
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments;
• German language skills;
• Basic security knowledge related to infrastructure, networking, applications and certificates.
