About the role
Handyman is a well-established field service management platform used by more than 45,000 people across Europe.
We are now entering a major transformation. We are modernising our platform, moving from legacy technology to a modern cloud- and web-based architecture, and changing the way we build products.
We are moving away from feature-led development shaped by individual customer requests. Instead, we want to make clearer product decisions based on customer value, market opportunity and commercial impact.
We are looking for a Product Manager to take responsibility for Handyman Mobile, our app for technicians and field service professionals.
This is not a backlog-management or delivery coordination role. You will be expected to lead the product, define priorities and ensure that Handyman Mobile creates measurable value for both users and the business.
What you will do
- Own the direction and development of Handyman Mobile
- Define and evolve the product strategy and roadmap
- Identify and prioritise the most valuable customer and business problems
- Build business cases and assess the commercial viability of product decisions
- Work directly with customers and users through interviews, research and validation
- Use qualitative and quantitative insights to guide priorities
- Work closely with Product Design and Engineering in an empowered product trio
- Play a central role in the transition from the legacy product to the new platform
- Align Sales, Marketing, Support and other stakeholders around clear product goals
- Measure outcomes after release and use the results to improve the product
- Help strengthen a more product-led, value-driven culture
What this role is not
This is not a Scrum Master, project management or traditional Product Owner role.
We are not looking for someone who mainly manages tickets, writes user stories or passes stakeholder requests to Engineering.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership, make decisions, challenge assumptions and lead the product forward.
What we are looking for
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management
- Experience working according to modern product management principles
- Proven ownership of a product or significant product area
- Strong experience with mobile applications, ideally in B2B SaaS
- Good commercial judgement and the ability to build business cases
- Experience with discovery, customer interviews, validation and product analytics
- A solid understanding of software development and agile ways of working
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- The confidence to stand behind well-founded product decisions
- The ability to work independently and get things done
- Fluent German and English
Experience in field service management, operational software, replatforming or mature B2B products is a plus.
