Senior Project Manager / Product Owner (m/f/d)

MERKUR Excellence, based in Raaba near Graz, was founded in 2018 as part of the MERKUR GROUP and specializes in game design and development, with a particular focus on casino games.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Product Owner to take ownership of complex development initiatives and lead cross-functional teams in delivering innovative products from concept to release. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and stakeholder management.

Your Responsibilities

• As our Senior Project Manager / Product Owner (m/f/d), you own and drive end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of development projects
• You define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation in alignment with business goals
• Moreover, you lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including development, design, QA, and stakeholders
• In addition, you monitor project progress, identify risks early, and implement effective mitigation strategies
• Last but not least, you communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment
  
  

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• Several years of experience in project management and/or product ownership in software or game development
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in complex technical environments
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban); Waterfall experience is a plus
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
