Job Description

Technical Services (TS) is one of four business areas within Wood Nordics and has been established to drive the company’s continued growth in new markets and services, including Marine, Low Carbon Solutions, Engineering Services, and Digital Services.

As part of our Digital Services team Wood is seeking a leader with a strong drive to further develop and commercialize our scanning and reality capture services within engineering across the Nordics.

Digital Services (DS) focuses on asset information, smart digitalization, and turning data into measurable value. We are consolidating capabilities and people across these areas to build a stronger, more coherent service portfolio with clear ownership and accountability. This includes services spanning data management and data operations, application utilization, system integration, and efficient LCI services, as well as high‑fidelity 3D visualization, digital twins, and advanced scanning technologies. Together, these capabilities enable us to better connect the physical and digital worlds and deliver differentiated value to our customers.

Job Description

The role will take end‑to‑end responsibility for building attractive, competitive services and ecosystems based on advanced laser scanning, photogrammetry, and 3D modeling.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to shape and scale a high‑potential service area, translate advanced technology into clear customer value, and position Wood as a strong challenger to established players in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and further develop Scanning Services within industrial and engineering projects in the Nordics
  • Define strategy, service portfolio, and roadmap for continued growth, incl product-, tech- and partner development
  • Lead the development of new markets and customers, incl market intel
  • Responsible for sales, bid and proposal work and follow-up of the customer portfolio
  • Lead and develop team, competencies, and methodologies
  • Lead projects, ensure efficient delivery, and high quality
  • Collaborate closely with engineering environments, customers, and other digital disciplines
  • Manage contracts, pricing models, and other commercial frameworks
  • Support the overall development of the business area (DS)

Qualifications

  • Relevant higher technical education within engineering, geomatics, BIM, or equivalent
  • Solid experience with scanning, reality capture, 3D modeling and/or digital twins
  • Good understanding of engineering processes, particularly within brownfield and existing assets
  • Knowledge of relevant guidelines and standards
  • Strong commercial acumen, and an analytical and strategic mindset
  • Leadership experience with a proven ability to build teams and services
  • Strong communication skills in English and Norwegian
  • Experience in business development is considered an advantage
