Eligibility/Qualification–

(See positions below; all require relevant degrees from a recognized university. Desirable: experience in research, relevant lab techniques, and qualifying national examinations where applicable.)

Designation Essential Qualification Experience / Desirable Laboratory Technician B.Sc. or 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology or B.Tech/B.E. 3–5 years’ lab management incl. computation, ordering, inventory, etc. Project Associate-I Master’s in Natural/Agricultural Sciences/MVSc/Bachelor’s in Engg/Tech/Medicine National exams preferred; experience with CRISPR, cell culture, etc. Project Associate-II Master’s in Science or Bachelor’s with 2 years’ research experience National exams preferred; organoid generation, molecular biology, assays Senior Project Associate Master’s + 4 years’ research or Doctorate in relevant field Experience in stem cell culture, molecular biology techniques Project Research Scientist –I (Non-Medical) First-Class Post Graduate degree Experience in molecular/cellular biology; NGS analysis

Job/Position Description-

BRIC-inStem, an autonomous research institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, is inviting applications for multiple contractual positions. The roles are part of various funded projects in the laboratory of Dr. Dhandapani S P, focusing on stem cell biology, regenerative medicine, cell culture, and next-generation sequencing. The appointments will be for 11 months, renewable based on performance and funding.

• Project Research Scientist – (Non-Medical) -I
• Conduct research in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine
• Lab management: inventory, ordering, handling lab data
• Experimentation: cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9 editing, microscopy, organoid development, animal handling where relevant
• Next-generation sequencing data analysis
• Detailed project updates, literature surveys, and presentations
