Job Summary

Serve as a senior software engineer in a hybrid work model designing and delivering secure and scalable microservices based solutions for retail banking products using core Java Spring Boot AWS SQL and JavaScript. Collaborate with cross functional teams to modernize banking applications improve customer experience and ensure high availability and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable microservices using core Java and Spring Boot to support retail banking products with high reliability and performance.
  • Develop secure and compliant service interfaces for account management payments and lending journeys that enhance customer experience and reduce operational friction.
  • Optimize SQL based data access patterns and database structures to ensure fast response times accurate reporting and resilient transaction processing.
  • Integrate microservices with AWS managed services to improve scalability simplify operations and enhance resiliency across retail banking workloads.
  • Create intuitive JavaScript based user facing components that enable seamless digital banking interactions across web channels.
  • Collaborate with product owners business analysts and operations teams to translate retail banking needs into technical designs that are clear feasible and maintainable.
  • Establish and maintain coding standards automated tests and code review practices that increase code quality and reduce production incidents.
  • Implement robust monitoring logging and alerting for microservices on AWS to enable proactive issue detection and rapid service restoration.
  • Refactor legacy retail banking modules into modular microservices that simplify maintenance reduce downtime and support faster feature delivery.
  • Apply secure coding and data protection practices that safeguard customer information and support regulatory and audit requirements in banking.
  • Coordinate with DevOps teams to refine CI CD pipelines that automate builds testing and deployments for Java and JavaScript services.
  • Document service designs data contracts and operational runbooks so that teams can understand support and evolve retail banking platforms efficiently.
  • Mentor junior engineers on microservices patterns Java best practices and retail banking domain concepts to strengthen overall team capability.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate extensive hands on experience in microservices architecture using core Java and Spring Boot for complex business systems.
  • Show strong proficiency in SQL including schema design query optimization and troubleshooting of data integrity issues in transactional systems.
  • Exhibit practical experience with AWS services for hosting securing and monitoring cloud native Java applications.
  • Apply solid JavaScript skills to build or support responsive front end features that interact smoothly with backend microservices.
  • Bring deep exposure to retail banking products and processes including deposits payments and lending journeys from prior project work.
  • Operate effectively within a hybrid work model using modern collaboration tools while maintaining high productivity and clear communication.
  • Leverage more than thirteen years of software development experience to address complex incidents guide design choices and ensure production stability.
  • Java solution architect with Micro services, Azure and Togaf

Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Developer Associate and Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer.
