About the Role

At Akakçe, we are building mobile experiences used by millions of users. We are looking for Android Engineers who

can develop reliable, high-performance, maintainable native Android applications.

This role is for engineers who care about product quality, user experience, architecture, performance, and long-term

maintainability. Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, XML, and Android tools are important, but we care most about engineering

judgment and ownership.

What You Will Do

Develop and maintain native Android applications.

Build user experiences that are fast, stable, and easy to use.

Design reusable UI components and maintainable application architecture.

Collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, data, and iOS teams.

Diagnose crashes, performance problems, UI issues, and data-related bugs.

Use analytics, crash reports, and user feedback to improve the application.

Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.

Write tests where they create real confidence.

Support the full application lifecycle from planning to release and post-launch improvement.

Keep the Android application healthy as the product and platform evolve.

What We Look For

Strong software engineering fundamentals.

Strong understanding of native Android development.

Ability to reason about application architecture, state management, API integration, persistence,

performance, and failure cases.

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of mobile constraints such as memory, battery, network reliability, lifecycle, and device

differences.

Ability to build maintainable UI and business logic.

Ownership mindset and strong collaboration skills.

Clear communication with technical and non-technical teammates.

Ability to learn and apply new Android platform capabilities pragmatically.
