Product Manager

Monava is an acoustic machine learning lab - turning sound into actionable intelligence for defence and security.

Our current focus: detecting flying drones with microphones instead of radar. Microphones are passive and undetectable, energy-efficient, and cost-effective.

Why now

• Fast-growing: revenue over €4M, and well funded. We were 3 employees last summer. This summer we are approaching 15.
• Live now: our systems are operating in the field today - live where it matters and other countries.
• Validated: TRL 6, proven through paid pilots with a large defence contractor.

The role

As our first product hire, you'll own the product end-to-end: what we build, why, and when it ships. You'll spend real time with the people who use it. This can be meeting with armed forces and turn feedback from live deployments into a sharp roadmap. You'll write the specs, cut the scope, drive pilots and partner integrations, and tighten the loop between what's in the field and what we build next. You'll work directly with the founders and the ML, software, and hardware teams. The product saves lives today; the feedback loop is short, and the outcomes matter on the battlefield. All of this while the company is hitting high growth phase.

We're looking for a high-agency generalist who acts like a founder. You might have been an early PM at a fast-scaling startup, founded a company yourself, shipped a technical or hardware product, or moved from engineering into product. One requirement is being structured and have depth in PM fundamental frameworks. Depth in ML, signal processing, hardware, or defence is a plus but not a requirement. You're as comfortable at a field trial as in a roadmap review: talking to operators one day, writing an integration spec the next, demoing to a general the week after.

Location

The role is based around Gothenburg, Stockholm, or Helsinki, and hybrid for now - we're open to other locations.
