Project Manager

Company is looking for a Project Manager – CapEx & Industrial Projects to join a manufacturing site in Turda, Romania.

This is a newly established and highly visible role focused on managing technical, industrial and CapEx investment projects from initial definition through procurement, installation, commissioning, validation and final operational handover.

The successful candidate will take ownership of industrial investment projects, coordinate internal stakeholders and external suppliers, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within approved budgets and according to agreed technical, quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage technical, industrial and CapEx projects from initiation to completion and handover.
• Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, resources and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans.
• Monitor progress, risks, delays, bottlenecks, costs and required actions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain and other departments.
• Organise project meetings and communicate project status clearly.
• Escalate critical issues affecting schedule, budget, safety, quality or outcomes.
• Support the preparation and implementation of approved CapEx projects.
• Define technical and operational requirements for machinery, equipment and industrial investments.
• Monitor budget compliance, timelines and technical specifications.
• Coordinate procurement, supplier communication, delivery, installation, commissioning and validation.
• Cooperate with Finance on cost control, ROI and payback analyses.
• Track project impact on production flow, performance, capacity, quality and safety.
• Ensure proper documentation, change management, communication and training for implemented changes.
• Monitor post-implementation results and propose improvements where necessary.

Ideal candidate profile:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial or manufacturing experience.
• At least 2 years in a technical, engineering, technology or industrial-project role.
• Proven experience with CapEx, machinery investment or industrial project delivery.
• Experience managing projects from concept and budgeting through installation, commissioning and handover.
• Strong understanding of production flow, plant layout, capacity, efficiency, safety and quality impact.
• Experience working with machinery suppliers, engineering contractors and internal production stakeholders.
• Higher education, preferably in a technical or engineering field.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Structured, practical and hands-on project-management mindset.
• Ability to coordinate and influence stakeholders without direct hierarchical authority.
• Willingness to work on site in Turda.
