Full Stack Engineer

We are setting up a dedicated mini development team to build out the Secure Client Communication capability — a secure messaging channel between the bank and its clients.

The team works according to client existing rules, development environments, and standards, alongside the other client teams. Functional analysis is provided by a client analyst, and dev/architecture support comes from an architect.

Scope of our work

The team builds and delivers end to end:

• Frontend — an Angular application for secure communication (a client-facing inbox: viewing, composing, and managing secure messages).
• BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) — built in Java with the Quarkus framework, serving the Angular frontend.
• Backend — the supporting services and persistence layer, backed by an Oracle database.

We are looking for full-stack developers comfortable across this whole stack (Angular + Java/Quarkus + Oracle), not specialists in only one layer.

Technology stack

• Frontend: Angular (TypeScript, HTML/CSS)
• BFF & backend: Java, Quarkus
• Database: Oracle (SQL, data modeling)
• Standard tooling: Git, CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs; secure-by-design practices given the banking and messaging context

Senior Full-Stack Developer

Senior developers drive the technical delivery, set the pace and quality bar.

We are specifically looking for proactive, autonomous engineers who take ownership of the work, anticipate problems before they arise, and move things forward independently without waiting to be told.

Given that the team starts small and works at distance from the client, this self-driving attitude is essential — the senior is expected to make decisions, unblock themselves and others, and keep delivery moving.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical implementation across frontend, BFF, and backend.
• Make and document pragmatic architectural and design decisions, in alignment with the architect and client standards.
• Take ownership of the scope end to end: proactively raise risks, propose solutions, and drive them to resolution.
• Guide and support the medior developers; review code and safeguard quality.
• Translate analysis and scope into concrete, well-estimated work; help manage the fixed-capacity backlog.
• Ensure secure, maintainable, well-tested code in a banking context.

Must-have

• Strong proactivity and autonomy — able to work independently, take initiative, anticipate issues, and drive delivery with minimal supervision.
• Strong full-stack experience, with solid command of both Angular (TypeScript) and Java with Quarkus (or strong Java/Spring with willingness to adopt Quarkus quickly).
• Solid experience with relational databases, ideally Oracle (SQL, data modeling, performance).
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and BFF-style architectures.
• Proven track record leading or being a senior reference in a development team.
• Comfortable with Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) for collaboration with our teams.

Nice-to-have

• Experience in banking, fintech, or other regulated/secure environments.
• Familiarity with secure messaging, authentication/authorization, and data-protection practices.
