Description Description: Machine learning has a unique potential for analyzing complex neuroimaging data from fetuses, neonates, and children, where existing computational methods are highly inadequate. This is a position for a postdoctoral fellow to work on related topics. You will be supported by world-class experts in radiology and neuroimaging. It is anticipated that this project will contribute to enabling accurate quantitative assessment of normal and abnormal early brain development, which has numerous applications in medicine and neuroscience.
Topics of interest include (1) Image reconstruction, super-resolution, registration, and segmentation. (2) Multimodal AI and foundation models. (3) Fetal brain ultrasound. (4) Fetal and neonatal brain MRI. (5) Diffusion MRI and structural brain connectivity.
Location: This research will be conducted at Boston Children's Hospital (BCH), Harvard Medical School (HMS). BCH is \#1 in pediatric hospitals and HMS is \#1 among all medical schools in the USA. Our lab has close collaborations with other research labs at Harvard Medical School.
Minimum requirements: (1) Ph.D. in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Medical Physics, or a related field. (2) Knowledge of machine learning. (3) Good programming skills. (4) Good communication skills.
Desirable skills: (1) Knowledge and hands-on experience in image processing / computer vision. (2) Experience in medical image analysis, ultrasound, and brain MRI.
