We are looking for a Senior GenAI Machine Learning Engineer to join one of our biggest clients, a global insurtech company focused on delivering innovative, AI-driven solutions that transform customer interactions and modernize insurance processes.

Candidates must be based in Portugal.

What you will do:

• Develop and integrate generative AI applications for customer interactions using LLMs and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AWS Bedrock)

• Design, build and scale internal AI agents and customer-facing solutions such as GenAI-powered contact centers

• Fine-tune, evaluate, and optimize large language models using proprietary and external datasets

• Build scalable APIs and backend services, ensuring reliability, privacy, monitoring, and responsible AI governance

What you are like:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field

• 6+ years of experience in AI/ML, including 3+ years in GenAI, NLP, or LLM engineering

• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, scikit-learn) with experience in model training and deployment

• Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex), RAG, prompt engineering, and evaluation methodologies

• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), MLOps/LLMOps, and knowledge of distributed training pipelines or voice conversational AI (plus)
