Mobile Product Designer

Product Designer | Contract | 3 months | 3 days per week | Fully remote

We're partnering with an innovative technology business that is building a brand-new mobile product from the ground up, and they're looking for an experienced Product Designer to join the team on an initial 3-month contract.

This is a part-time engagement (3 days per week) with flexible working arrangements and the potential to extend beyond the initial contract.

You'll be joining a small, collaborative product team where you'll have genuine ownership over the user experience, working closely with Product and Engineering to shape features from concept through to launch.

What you'll be doing

• Lead the end-to-end UX/UI design process across a new mobile application.
• Translate user needs into intuitive, accessible mobile experiences.
• Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs in Figma.
• Build and maintain a scalable design system and component library.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and product stakeholders to iterate quickly.
• Participate in user research, testing and continuous product improvement.
• Design with accessibility, usability and real-world constraints in mind.

We're looking for someone who has

• A strong portfolio showcasing mobile app design.
• Excellent UX and UI design skills with experience designing for both iOS and Android.
• Advanced Figma experience, including Auto Layout, components and developer handoff.
• Experience working closely with software engineers in agile product teams.
• A user-first mindset with the ability to simplify complex workflows.
• Experience taking products from concept through to production.

Nice to have

• Experience designing products for international or multilingual users.
• Experience working in early-stage, startup or greenfield product environments.
• Knowledge of designing for offline experiences, low-connectivity environments or operational users.
• Familiarity with product analytics and validating design decisions through user data.
