We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major capital expansion project at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in the Netherlands. This project will involve the installation and integration of filling, packaging, and compounding equipment. The contract will last 12-months with possible extension.
The successful candidate will take full ownership of the project life-cycle, managing the programme from concept design through to execution, commissioning, and final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale facility expansion project.
- Manage all phases of the project, including planning, design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resource management.
- Coordinate activities across internal teams, engineering partners, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
- Ensure project objectives are achieved safely, on time, and within budget.
- Work closely with the dedicated Process Lead to ensure technical requirements are effectively incorporated into project execution.
- Drive decision-making and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain clear communication and reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end large-scale capital projects within pharmaceutical environments.
- Strong project management expertise with a track record of successfully delivering complex design-and-build projects.
- Technical understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment, particularly within filling, packaging, compounding, or similar production environments.
- Ability to balance technical awareness with a strong focus on project delivery and stakeholder management.
- Experience managing significant CAPEX investments and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Willingness to be based on-site a minimum of four days per week.
