Artificial Intelligence. Satellite Operations. In-Orbit Manufacturing.

I'm currently partnering with an innovative New Space company developing technologies that will redefine how satellites operate and how manufacturing is performed in orbit.

This is an opportunity to apply cutting-edge AI and machine learning to real-world space missions—developing intelligent systems capable of supporting autonomous spacecraft, optimising satellite operations, and enabling the future of orbital manufacturing.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop advanced AI and machine learning models for satellite missions and autonomous spacecraft operations.
• Build intelligent systems that optimise mission planning, spacecraft health monitoring, anomaly detection and autonomous decision-making.
• Develop AI algorithms to support in-orbit manufacturing processes, robotics and automated assembly.
• Work with telemetry, sensor and operational data to improve spacecraft performance throughout the mission lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Robotics, Electronics and Mission Operations teams to integrate AI into flight systems.
• Research and implement state-of-the-art machine learning techniques, including deep learning, reinforcement learning and computer vision where appropriate.
• Support the validation and deployment of AI models for high-reliability, mission-critical applications.

What we're looking for

• Strong commercial experience in AI and Machine Learning engineering.
• Excellent Python programming skills.
• Experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or JAX.
• Experience designing, training and deploying machine learning models.
• Strong understanding of optimisation, data analysis and statistical modelling.
• Comfortable working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Must haves!

• Satellite or spacecraft engineering AI and Machine Learning experience
• If not - Biotech AI and Machine Learning experience
