Our client, Vilniaus vandenys, is the largest water management company in Lithuania, supplying clean drinking water and managing wastewater for nearly 300,000 customers in the city of Vilnius and the Vilnius, Šalčininkai and Švenčionys districts. They are currently looking for a:

Cybersecurity Engineer

You'll work with modern security solutions, contribute to deploying new technologies and strengthening infrastructure protection, and become a key part of a team safeguarding one of the country's most vital infrastructures.

Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure protection and segmentation: ensure strict separation between the corporate (IT) and production/technological (OT/SCADA) networks, along with perimeter defence using NGFWs (next-generation firewalls);
• Privileged access management: maintain and administer the PAM system;
• Vulnerability and access control: carry out periodic scanning of systems, network devices and other equipment, manage updates (patch management), and enforce the principle of least privilege and MFA;
• Data loss prevention (DLP): implement and maintain a DLP solution to protect critical company, customer and operational process data;
• Collaboration with the SOC (Security Operations Centre): review security alerts escalated by SOC analysts, analyse notifications from SIEM/XDR systems, distinguish genuine threats from false positives, support incident containment and investigation within the company, and ensure smooth log delivery to the SIEM;
• Regulatory compliance: ensure the company's infrastructure complies with the requirements of Lithuania's Cybersecurity Law, working closely with the company's cybersecurity lead and the National Cyber Security Centre (NKSC).

We expect you to have:

• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity solutions (PAM, SIEM, endpoint security or similar systems);
• Experience in vulnerability management - system scanning, risk assessment and coordinating remediation;
• A solid grasp of IT infrastructure security (servers, networks, access management, application security);
• An understanding of, or experience in, OT/SCADA environment security (considered an advantage);
• The ability to read and understand technical documentation in English.

It would be an advantage if you:

• Have worked with DLP solutions;
• Have experience in critical infrastructure, energy, manufacturing or other sectors with high security requirements;
• Have experience implementing new cybersecurity solutions or participating in their selection.
