IT Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Network Engineer to join a dynamic IT infrastructure team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, support, and optimisation of enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing connectivity across on-premises and cloud environments. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in networking and security, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to contribute to infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, load balancers, SD-WAN, cloud, and remote connectivity.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure high availability across the IT infrastructure.
• Manage network security solutions and implement security best practices to protect business systems and data.
• Perform incident, problem, and change management activities in line with operational procedures.
• Configure and maintain network devices, cloud networking, and remote access solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and service providers to deliver infrastructure projects and operational improvements.
• Produce and maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and technical procedures.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and the implementation of new technologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including network automation and operational efficiency.
• Ensure infrastructure complies with security, governance, and business requirements.

Requirements

• Strong experience supporting and managing enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, wireless networking, and network security.
• Experience working with enterprise networking technologies and cloud networking environments.
• Proven experience troubleshooting complex network issues in production environments.
• Good understanding of network monitoring, performance optimisation, and fault diagnosis.
• Experience with VPNs, remote access solutions, and network security technologies.
• Knowledge of SD-WAN and network automation is advantageous.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other public cloud networking services is desirable.
• CCNA (or equivalent networking knowledge) is essential; CCNP or higher is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
