Project Manager – EPC Oil&Gas Projects | Milan Head Office

Are you an execution-driven Project Manager with sound business acumen and a track record of leading complex EPC contracts? At Arkad, we are looking for a senior Project Manager to join our Head Office in Milan.

In this role, you will hold bottom-line responsibility for the financial and technical success of managed projects, directing all phases from engineering and procurement through to construction and commissioning. You will serve as the unifying agent ensuring overall project control, schedule alignment, and budget optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Execution & Delivery: Direct all aspects of execution for the assigned scope of work, utilizing formal project management methodologies from initiation and planning through monitoring, control, and closeout. Ensure strict adherence to HSE, quality, schedule, and budget goals.
• Financial & P&L Ownership: Assume full P&L responsibility for medium-sized EPC projects characterized by medium-to-high risk profiles. Manage project budgets, contingency drawdowns, costs, and receivables while driving value creation.
• Contract & Claim Management: Review contractual terminology, negotiate commercial terms, and actively oversee claim preparation and follow-ups in close alignment with Contract Managers.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, motivate, and mentor multi-specialty project teams spanning multiple office locations and field staffs. Manage the performance of direct reports and actively support talent development, diversity, and inclusion.
• Stakeholder & Client Relations: Act as the senior company representative to the client, subcontractors, and authorities. Oversee client communications, resolve conflicting priorities, and build strong strategic networks to identify repeat business opportunities.
• Site Presence: Ensure active physical presence on cantiere/site during critical project phases or when requested by the customer.

Your Profile:

• Experience: Proven experience planning and managing medium-sized EPC engineering projects with complex risk profiles within the Energy, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical sectors.
• Technical & Business Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in analyzing project schedules, managing cost budgets, and evaluating the profit impact of operational decisions. In-depth understanding of contract terminology and contingency management.
• Leadership Toolkit: Strong capability in directing multidisciplinary teams and managing global resources or joint-venture partners. Exceptional conflict management and problem-solving skills within complex environments.
• Core Competencies: Financial acumen, business insight, tech-savvy mindset, and excellent networking and presentation capacities.

Salary Range: 85k-100k Euros
