Junior Scrum Master

We are hiring a Junior Scrum Master for a one-year project in Brussels, with 50% on site and 50% homeworking. The role is part of an Agile Scrum framework and focuses on supporting the project team in applying the methodology effectively. The start date is as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Retrospective, and other meetings.
• Schedule and follow the key steps of the methodology.
• Ensure smooth use of the Scrum methodology and help the project team overcome obstacles.
• Provide assistance or support to the Product Owner regarding the Product Backlog.
• Assist and support the team in delivering the Definition of Done, Sprint Backlog, and related items.
• Track team capacity and velocity metrics for planning and progress purposes.
• Coach and challenge the project team.
• Help the project team face difficulties and promote gradual self-organization.
• Remove barriers to team effectiveness and protect the team from outside distractions.
• Act as an ambassador for Agile methods within the organization.
• Provide reporting on the proper deployment of the Scrum methodology within projects.
• Manage risks and issues.

Must-Have Requirements

• You have 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• You have knowledge of Agile reporting and follow-up tools, such as Jira.
• You have sound knowledge of software development methodology.
• You have sound knowledge of project management methodology.
• You have knowledge of Agile methodology and techniques, such as Kanban.
• English proficiency
• You have a good command of French and/or Dutch.
