My clients are looking for an ambitious AI/ML Engineer to become a key member of our growing technology team in Herentals. This is more than a technical role, it's an opportunity to pioneer AI initiatives, influence company strategy, and lead the adoption of intelligent technologies across the business.

From research and experimentation to production deployment, you'll be at the forefront of designing AI solutions that transform the way we operate.

What You'll Do

• Drive the company's AI and Machine Learning strategy and roadmap.
• Research, evaluate, and prototype cutting-edge AI technologies.
• Design, develop, and deploy Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions.
• Build and maintain scalable MLOps pipelines for model training, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities.
• Lead proof-of-concepts and transform successful ideas into production-ready solutions.
• Stay ahead of developments in AI, LLMs, and emerging technologies, bringing innovation into the business.
• Help establish AI best practices, standards, and technical direction as our AI capability grows.

Who you are

• 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with Machine Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps, CI/CD, model deployment, monitoring, and cloud-based ML platforms.
• Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, or AI agents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• A proactive mindset with the ambition to build and lead AI initiatives from the ground up.

Nice to Have

• Experience with computer vision or time-series forecasting.
• Knowledge of renewable energy, IoT, smart grids, or industrial automation.
• Experience building production AI platforms
