Senior PHP Laravel Developer

We are seeking an experienced PHP Laravel Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Laravel, MySQL, REST APIs, and modern development practices, along with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry standards.
Optimize database queries and overall application performance.
Collaborate with frontend developers, QA teams, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues.
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Implement security best practices and data protection measures.
Work with Git-based version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
Communicate project progress, risks, and technical solutions effectively to stakeholders.

Experience & Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in PHP development.
Strong expertise in Laravel Framework.
Proficiency in MySQL/MariaDB database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party API integrations.
Strong understanding of MVC architecture and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
Experience with Git version control.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu server environments.
Experience with Composer and PHP package management.
Understanding of authentication, authorization, and web application security best practices.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with international clients and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
Knowledge of Docker and containerized deployments.
Experience with Redis, queues, and caching mechanisms.
Familiarity with Vue.js, React, or other modern frontend frameworks.
Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment processes.
Knowledge of PHPUnit and automated testing practices.
