Role Overview

An exciting opportunity for a senior Data Security professional responsible for designing, implementing, and operating enterprise-wide data protection capabilities across traditional IT environments, cloud platforms, and emerging AI technologies.

The role focuses on protecting sensitive information through encryption, data loss prevention, privacy engineering, monitoring, and governance while ensuring compliance with recognised security and privacy frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Data Security Architecture

• Design and implement enterprise data protection controls across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Deploy and maintain data loss prevention, encryption, and information protection technologies.
• Enforce data classification, encryption, and access control policies across enterprise platforms.
• Translate regulatory and organisational data protection requirements into technical controls.

Privacy Engineering

• Implement privacy-enhancing technologies including masking, tokenisation, and anonymisation.
• Perform Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Deploy solutions for data discovery, classification, and lineage.
• Ensure appropriate controls for data residency and sovereignty requirements.

AI & Emerging Technology Security

• Secure AI and machine learning platforms by implementing appropriate access controls, monitoring, and data protection mechanisms.
• Protect datasets used for AI training through masking and anonymisation techniques.
• Assess third-party AI platforms from a technical security perspective.

Enterprise Data Protection

• Secure data movement between enterprise platforms using encryption and filtering technologies.
• Implement segmentation controls around critical systems and integration points.
• Support monitoring and detection of potential data exposure risks.

Cryptography & Security Operations

• Manage enterprise encryption solutions and key management infrastructure.
• Deploy and administer data protection technologies including:
• Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
• Database monitoring
• Data classification platforms
• Support investigations relating to data leakage, misuse, or unauthorised access.

Required Experience

• 8+ years' experience in Information Security.
• At least 5 years specialising in Data Security, Information Protection, or Privacy Engineering.
• Experience within highly regulated or critical infrastructure environments.
• Strong written and verbal English.
