Role Objective
Highly skilled and experienced IT Team Lead to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-level cards and payments systems within our bank. Has a strong technical background in payment systems, card management, and digital banking solutions, coupled with proven leadership skills to manage a team of IT professionals. A strategic thinker who can align technology solutions with business objectives, ensuring seamless / secure payment processing for our customers.
Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, including developers, analysts, and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and provide feedback to team members.
Project Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT projects related to cards and payments systems, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, product managers, and vendors, to define project requirements and deliverables.
System Development and Maintenance:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level cards and payments systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to optimize functionality and user experience.
Strategic Planning:
- Work closely with senior management to define the IT roadmap for cards and payments, aligning technology initiatives with business goals.
- Identify emerging trends and technologies in the payments industry, recommending innovative solutions to enhance the bank’s competitive edge.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring delivery of products and services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business units, risk management, and compliance teams, to ensure alignment on IT priorities and deliverables.
Compliance and Security:
- Ensure all cards and payments systems comply with relevant regulations, including PCI-DSS, GDPR, and local banking laws.
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven experience in managing enterprise-level cards and payments systems (e.g., card management systems, payment gateways, digital wallets).
- Strong knowledge of payment processing standards, protocols, and technologies (e.g., ISO 8583, EMV, NFC, tokenization).
- Experience with cloud-based payment solutions and API integrations is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as .Net, Java, Python, or C#.
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
