Functional Analyst

JOB PURPOSE

The ECM Functional Analyst is responsible for the functional analysis, configuration, testing, and documentation of the ECM platform built on IBM FileNet. The role sits at the intersection of business requirements and technical delivery, working closely with RAK Government departments and the ECM technical team to ensure the platform operates effectively and continues to grow in value.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with stakeholder departments to gather, analyze, and document ECM business and functional requirements
• Design and recommend ECM solutions; conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for ECM projects
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, workflow designs, and technical configurations
• Configure and support IBM FileNet CPE, ICN, and integrated sub-systems.
• Design and configure FileNet Process Engine workflows for approval routing and document lifecycle automation
• Perform data analysis and field mapping for ECM integration projects (ICC for SAP, Kofax/KTA, CMIS/REST APIs)
• Execute functional and regression testing; coordinate UAT with business departments and manage defects in Jira
• Provide post-implementation support and deliver user training with bilingual English/Arabic documentation
• Monitor ECM platform performance and identify areas for improvement and optimization
• Stay current with IBM FileNet product roadmap and ECM industry best practices; make recommendations for adoption

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

Educational and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
• IBM FileNet or ECM-related certification required (AIIM CIP or equivalent)
• Business Analysis certification preferred (CBAP or equivalent)
• ITIL Foundation or PMI-ACP preferred

Experience

• 6+ years of ECM-focused BA or functional analyst experience; minimum 4 years on IBM FileNet in production
• Hands-on with FileNet CPE, ICN, Process Engine, Kofax/KTA, ICC for SAP, and CMIS/REST APIs
• Proficiency in requirements gathering, solution design, and functional documentation
• Experience with system testing, UAT coordination, and defect management
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across IT and business audiences
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools is an advantage
• Government or public sector experience is an advantage
