Backend Engineer (Identity & Cloud)

Kraków | Hybrid (6 days per month from the office)

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join a cloud-focused project centered around Identity & Access Management solutions. This role combines backend development, API integrations, cloud-native services, and security-focused engineering within a modern enterprise environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure REST APIs and backend services.
• Build integrations between identity platforms and enterprise applications.
• Develop event-driven solutions using cloud-native technologies and messaging services.
• Automate identity lifecycle processes, including provisioning and access workflows.
• Create and maintain microservices deployed in cloud environments.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
• Collaborate with Security, DevOps, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and performance of developed services.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Experience building REST APIs and backend applications.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging solutions.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, SAML, authentication, and authorization concepts.
• Experience with identity platforms such as Auth0, Okta, WorkOS, Entra ID, or similar solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in distributed environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of SCIM and identity lifecycle automation.
• Experience with API gateways, service mesh, or reverse proxies.
• Familiarity with security and compliance best practices.
