Software Engineer

We are seeking a Software Engineer with 3–6 years. The candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.

This role requires strong programming skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work across the software development lifecycle.

Previous experience in Banking, Financial Services, Payments, or other regulated industries is considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Own software development activities including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve existing applications and services.
• Manage support activities and resolve production incidents in a timely manner.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
• Adopt new technologies, tools, and development practices as required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions.
• Contribute to effort estimation, requirements analysis, and sprint planning activities.
• Conduct code reviews and proactively seek feedback from peers and senior engineers.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Drive continuous improvement of development processes and engineering practices.

Technical Skills

Software Development

• Strong development experience in Java, JavaScript, SQL, and related technologies.
• Understanding of secure coding principles and application security best practices (OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT).
• Experience developing enterprise applications using frameworks such as Spring Boot, Angular, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with software design patterns and object-oriented design principles.

SDLC & Quality Engineering

• Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
• Familiarity with Git workflows, code reviews, and collaborative development practices.
• Experience building and maintaining unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and modern testing practices.
• Experience with ALM tools such as Jira, Rally, or equivalent platforms.

API, Architecture & Integration

• Understanding of REST APIs, event-driven architectures, web applications, and service-oriented systems.
• Familiarity with modern application architecture patterns and distributed systems concepts.
• Understanding of secure communication protocols such as TLS, IPSec, and PGP.

DevOps & Automation

• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and software delivery automation.
• Experience with tools such as Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, Artifactory, or similar platforms.
• Ability to develop automation scripts using languages such as Java, Python, Bash, Groovy, or similar.
• Familiarity with configuration management and infrastructure automation concepts.

Cloud & Platforms

• Understanding of cloud computing concepts, including PaaS and FaaS environments.
• Familiarity with containerization and virtualization technologies.
• Basic understanding of cloud-native application deployment and operations.

Performance & Reliability

• Understanding of performance optimization, scalability, capacity planning, and system reliability principles.
• Ability to analyze application performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Experience supporting production environments and resolving operational issues.
