Tasks and responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to support a strategic programme covering several teams active in medicinal prescriptions, referral prescriptions, support around referral prescriptions, and a mobile health application.
You will work with four delivery teams that operate with Scrum, in an environment where each stream is also coordinated through project management structures based on PRINCE2. For the referral prescription teams, the SAFe framework is additionally used to facilitate quarterly planning and cross-team alignment.
In this position, you coach development teams as well as business stakeholders in the practical and consistent use of Scrum and broader Agile ways of working. You help safeguard Agile values and principles while applying them pragmatically in a complex organisational setting where governance and role definitions do not always fully match a pure Agile model.
Your responsibilities include supporting team effectiveness, facilitating Agile ceremonies, encouraging continuous improvement, and helping teams and stakeholders collaborate efficiently across multiple workstreams. You also work with common Agile tooling such as Jira and Confluence.
As part of the longer-term evolution of the programme, this role is expected to grow towards a Release Train Engineer (RTE) position from 2027 onwards. The person in this role should therefore be willing and able to evolve into that function and obtain the SAFe Release Train Engineer certification by the end of 2026.
Because of the highly collaborative nature of the role, strong communication skills are essential.
Your profile
You bring solid experience as a Scrum Master, with deep knowledge of Agile practices and a strong coaching mindset. A pragmatic, results-oriented approach is important in order to balance Agile principles with the realities of a complex environment.
You will be part of a growing Belgian SME where initiative and personal development are encouraged. We will provide you with an enjoyable work environment with fun colleagues. We will work out a career plan with you, with attention and a budget for extra education/certification. You can count on an attractive salary, supplemented with extra-legal benefits, including a company car.
