Middle/Senior Golang Engineer (Node.js)

About The Role

In this role, you will contribute to building a brand new omnichannel microservice-based eCommerce platform for one of the world’s largest restaurant companies, supporting over 50,000 restaurants globally.

The client’s dynamic eCommerce Platform team is continuously expanding as they optimize digital ordering channels and drive technology innovations, creating strong competitive advantages for their restaurants worldwide.

Responsibilities

Develop scalable interactive eCommerce applications
Implement Node.js based GQL web services
Maintain relational databases for services
Deliver high quality products writing comprehensive unit tests
Architect, design, optimize, and refactor code to maximize performance
Assist junior engineers in engineering best practices
Contribute to requirements and grooming of new functionality

Requirements

Strong expertise with Golang (3+ years)
Experience with Microservices architecture and building scalable interactive web applications (3+years)
Proficiency with backend Node js + Express (2+ years)
Advanced practice in consuming and creating GraphQL/REST web services
Proficiency in SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL) and ORM (knex, TypeORM)
Knowledge of CI/CD workflow and configuration like Guitars
Familiarity with observability concepts like logging, and metrics and related tools e.g.DataDog and Kibana
Experience with using testing libraries: jest, chai, mocha
Expertise with API documentation creation (AsyncAPI, OpenAPI)
Familiarity with authorization and authentication mechanisms (JWT, congnito, etc.)
Experiencе with npm registry management
Strong expertise in DevOps technologies (Docker, Harness)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field
Clear communication skills with Intermediate strong or Upper-Intermediate level of English for effective collaboration in a multicultural team
Experience with Typescript (nice to have)
Proven ability to event based architecture and hands-on experience with Kafka or any relevant tool (a strong plus)
Hands-on experience with Apollo Federated Graph (would be a plus)
Understanding of caching mechanism (optional)
Experience in writing end-to-end tests (nice to have)
AWS knowledge, or certifications (would be a plus)
Temporal knowledge (as a bonus)
