Job Title: Python Developer (Rates Trading)

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ months (possible extension)

Role Overview:

Seeking a Backend Python Developer to support the NYC Rates Trading Desk. The role focuses on building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and delivering solutions that support trading decisions within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend solutions using Python.
• Build and support data ingestion and processing workflows.
• Ensure data quality and integrity for trading applications.
• Work closely with internal teams on API integrations.
• Participate in Agile delivery with weekly releases and occasional off-hours deployments.
• Provide limited production support (~10%).

Required Skills:

• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge (SELECTs, JOINs).
• Experience working in Agile/Kanban environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to Polars for data processing.
• Basic UI/front-end experience.
• Knowledge of Java, Kafka, or Spark.
