.NET Developer

About the Role

StormGeo is seeking a skilled .NET Developer to join our Weather Products team. You will become part of a team focused on building and maintaining our next generation weather intelligence and decision support platform.

Our products use advanced analytics and meteorological services to provide weather insights that are tailored to the location and industry of our clients. At StormGeo, we strive to improve our product suite from both technical enhancement and feature delivery perspectives.

📍 This position is based in Bergen, Norway.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs, and data processing applications to support business needs.
• Ensure data security and integrity by applying best practices, access controls, and secure data handling standards.
• Engage with software design, development, and integration, and make a real impact on the product platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver robust technical solutions.

Core Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in .NET development.
• Experience working with SQL databases and API development (REST and/or gRPC).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively troubleshoot technical issues.
• Solid understanding of software development best practices, including code quality, security, and performance optimization.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration within a global team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of application containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar).
• Familiarity with application monitoring (logs, metrics, observability tools).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Knowledge of any geospatial/map engines would be considered a plus.
