Mood Games is a mobile gaming company driven by creativity, data, and the ambition to build hit titles for a global audience. We partner with top publishers like Lion Studios and Supersonic, and our portfolio includes successful titles such as Coin Sort, Traffic Jam Fever, and Queen Bee — together surpassing 70M+ downloads worldwide.
With our games consistently ranking in the US Top Charts and achieving significant success in Top Grossing lists, we are expanding our team to build the next generation of hybrid-casual hits.
We are looking for an Associate Product Manager (Game Design Track) — a high-potential hire we intend to grow into a future Senior Product Owner. Let's be transparent: this is a long-term investment role, and you'll start exactly where everyone on our design team starts. You'll learn our games inside-out through hands-on QA/testing, and — most importantly — through level design. From there, the path leads to feature ownership and full product responsibility. You won't be doing this alone: you'll work side-by-side with our Senior Game Designers, learning directly from them every single day. We're not looking for someone to just run tests; we're looking for the analytical, game-obsessed talent who will be running our products in a few years.
Main Responsibilities
- Learn the Product Inside-Out (QA & Testing): Rigorously play and test our games to hunt down bugs, balance issues, and UX friction. Build clear test plans and validate new builds before they ship. This is how you'll earn a deep, instinctive understanding of our products.
- Level Design & Production: Design and build levels for our new and live titles. Own the difficulty curve, progression pacing, and that "satisfying" feel that defines great casual puzzle gameplay.
- Data-Informed Iteration: Learn to read player data and feedback, then iterate on your levels and features based on what the numbers — not opinions — are telling you.
- LiveOps Support: Support the operation of live events, economy tuning, and content updates that keep our games fresh and engaging.
- Grow into Product Ownership: Progressively take on independent feature design, GDD writing, and eventually end-to-end ownership of a game's economy or feature area. Advancement is based on performance, not tenure — we promote fast.
- AI-Powered Workflow: Use a modern AI toolkit to accelerate analysis, documentation, prototyping, and design exploration. We build AI-native designers from day one.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and artists to bring features and content to life.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Top-Tier Analytical Foundation: Degree from a leading university — Koç, Sabancı, Boğaziçi, Bilkent, METU (ODTÜ), or ITU (İTÜ). Industrial Engineering or a similar quantitative/analytical field strongly preferred. We value sharp, structured thinkers.
- Systems Thinking (Crucial): The ability to break a game down into its parts and understand why something works — or doesn't. You see games as systems, not just experiences.
- A Real Gamer (Crucial): You play regularly, and you deconstruct what you play. You can articulate why a level is too hard or why an economy feels broken. We will talk about this more than anything else in the interview. Player first, analyst second.
- Detail & Persistence: QA and level production reward precision and patience. You take pride in catching what others miss.
- AI-Native Mindset: Genuine eagerness to learn and integrate AI tools (LLMs, automation, prototyping tools) into your daily workflow.
- Communication: Comfortable reading and writing in English (documentation, industry resources, publisher communication).
- High Potential & Hunger: A fast learner who is coachable, ambitious, and ready to grow quickly.
Bonus
- Any prior game-making experience — mods, small prototypes, game jams, hobby projects. Scale doesn't matter; the intent does.
- Hands-on data skills (Excel, SQL, or Python).
- Basic understanding of free-to-play mobile economies, monetization, or LiveOps.
- Familiarity with Figma, Unity, or no-code prototyping tools.
- A genuine love for puzzle mechanics and mobile gaming trends.
- A great sense of humor and a collaborative spirit.
