ABOUT THE ROLE:
At Ascent Health Services, we're continuing to expand our data capabilities and are looking for a Data Engineer to help us build and scale our data platform using Microsoft Fabric.
In this role, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to develop data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and decision-making. You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining data pipelines, building data products, and ensuring data is reliable, accessible, and secure.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, working with modern data technologies, and turning business needs into scalable data solutions.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to develop data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and decision-making. You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining data pipelines, building data products, and ensuring data is reliable, accessible, and secure.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, working with modern data technologies, and turning business needs into scalable data solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric
- Integrate, transform, and manage data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality and integrity
- Develop and maintain data products, datasets, and data models that support business needs
- Build and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Support data governance, security, and compliance requirements when processing and storing data
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve existing data solutions and infrastructure
- Stay up to date with developments in Microsoft Fabric and related technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field or Swiss Federal Certificate EFZ in Information Technology with relevant work experience
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or a similar field
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
- Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
- Proficiency in Python and data engineering best practices
- Experience with data modelling and data warehousing concepts
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Curious mindset and willingness to continuously learn and improve
