Java Developer (Treasury Developer)

Job Title: Treasury Developer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Analyze business and technical requirements related to treasury processes, with a focus on bank statement of ingestion and conversion (e.g., MT940 format).
• Configure, develop, and maintain code changes within the Treasury domain for bank statement parsing, transformation, and standardization.
• Design and implement data mapping, validation, and transformation logic for various bank file formats including CSV, XML, and TXT.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts or macros using Excel VBA to support data validation, analysis, and operational processes.
• Create custom stored procedures and implement code changes using Java to meet project requirements.
• Support system integrations through API development, batch processing, and file-based mechanisms.
• Adhere to best practices and technical standards for software development and system implementation.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Participate in testing phases and support go-live activities to ensure smooth deployment and operational stability.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, technical guidelines, and operational support instructions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Java development, preferably within financial or treasury systems.
• Proven experience with macros and scripting, specifically Excel VBA or similar automation tools.
• Strong expertise in parsing, data transformation, and file processing involving formats such as CSV, XML, and TXT.
• Experience with system integrations using APIs, batch processing, and file-based exchanges.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration within a team environment.
• Proactive and delivery-focused mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with bank statement processing and formats like MT940, MT942, and CAMT.
• Understanding of SWIFT standards and message structures.
• Knowledge of financial processes such as cash management and accounting principles is advantageous.
